I'm Tom. I built PowDay, and I'm the person who reads this email.
I'm one person in Seattle, so give me a day or two, and longer if it just snowed. It helps if you tell me your iPhone model, which mountain, and roughly when you saw the problem: snow data changes hour to hour, so "Crystal looked wrong around 6am Tuesday" is far easier to chase down than "the numbers are off."
PowDay shows what the agency published, unchanged, so a wrong number on the card is usually a wrong number at the source: a SNOTEL sensor iced over, or a pass report nobody has updated since the last plow went through. Every number has a timestamp under it, so check that first. But if the card and the source page disagree with each other, that's my bug and I want to hear about it.
The station stopped answering. PowDay would rather show you nothing and a link to the source than a stale number dressed up as a current one.
Settings, then Restore purchase. That question goes to Apple rather than to me, because Apple is the one who knows what your Apple ID has bought. If it still won't unlock, email me the date of purchase and I'll help you chase it.
Purchases go through Apple, so refunds do too: reportaproblem.apple.com. I can't issue one myself. Tell me what went wrong anyway, because I'd rather fix it than have you need the refund.
Maybe, and it depends on the data rather than on the mountain. A card needs a SNOTEL station near the ski area, an NWAC forecast zone and a WSDOT pass report; without all three it would have holes in it. Tell me which one you want and I'll go and look.
iPhone first. A lock-screen widget is the next thing I want to build. Android depends entirely on how many people ask for it.
The trail lines come from OpenStreetMap contributors rather than from the resort, so a missing run or an odd difficulty rating is usually something to fix upstream at openstreetmap.org, where the correction helps everyone. Tell me too, and I'll pull the update in.
PowDay relays what NWS, SNOTEL, WSDOT and NWAC publish. It isn't avalanche advice, and it isn't a substitute for reading the forecast at nwac.us and the pass report at wsdot.wa.gov. Never rely on a single source.
